Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, attended the regular meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities on Saturday, headed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council, and the Council members.
The meeting, held at Sadat City University, was attended by the Council, who thanked the Sadat City University family, headed by Dr. Shaden Moawia, President of the University, for hosting the Supreme Council of Universities meeting and the development it has achieved across all aspects of university work.
Al-Naamani said that the meeting discussed preparations for the start of the new academic year 2025/2026, as Dr. Ayman Ashour directed early preparations for the new academic year and for the faculties to announce study schedules early before the start of the academic year, so that students can familiarize themselves with them well in advance of the start of the school year, and to develop plans for student activities and intensify awareness campaigns for students to confront concepts and ideas that conflict with the tolerant religious beliefs and authentic cultural and societal heritage of the Egyptian people, in preparation for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Al-Nomany added that the council reviewed a report on the university’s achievements for the academic years 2023/2024 and 2024/2025, praising the university’s unprecedented qualitative leap and transformation in various construction and educational fields.
