Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, announced that the Supreme Council of Universities, in its regular meeting today, Saturday, headed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has approved the establishment of Sohag Technological University as a new university emanating from the public university, following the completion of the necessary legal procedures in this regard, the event was attended by Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council, and the Council members, at the headquarters of Kafrelsheikh University.
Al-Nomany thanked Dr. Ayman Ashour for his efforts in establishing Sohag Technological University, which came as a result of the increasing demand for technological specializations and the urgent need to develop technological industries in the governorates of Upper Egypt.
He added that these industries are supported and strengthened by a trained, highly skilled and competent workforce.
