Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, met with the university’s five-a-side football team, participating in the activities of the first edition of the Goal League, which is organized by the Hayat Karima Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the period from 15 to 22 of this September, in the New Administrative Capital in Cairo.
Dr. Hassan Al-Numany said that the tournament comes as a continuation of the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to support university sports activities, in implementation of the presidential directives on the importance of spreading sports awareness within the student community, exploiting the energies of youth and providing them with the necessary sports skills, to expand the participation of universities in supplying national sports games with champions, so that they are able to compete in major international and regional competitions
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the tournament includes a number of training and educational programs that contribute to developing the cognitive and professional skills of the participants, and providing them with a number of practical sports experiences, as the training program includes a lecture on the role of the Hayat Karima Foundation and a symposium on how to avoid sports injuries, sports fanaticism, and accepting defeat, as well as a practical lecture on the field on how to properly warm up before the match and physical exercise.
