The General Authority of Adult Education announces that Sohag University has achieved the Third Position among the Egyptian universities for its Success in Eliminating Illiteracy among 10,354 Students

The General Authority of Adult Education announced that Sohag University obtained the third position among the Egyptian universities, for its success in liberating (10,354) citizens in the governorate from illiteracy, according to the report about the achievements of the Egyptian universities in the field of literacy issued by the General Authority of Adult Education.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, the university president, expressed his pride and appreciation for the male and female students of the faculties which participated in achieving this distinguished and continuous success since the initiative began in 2014, stressing that the strategic plan followed by the university in this project has become an example to be followed to develop the project’s objectives and move forward towards achieving more distinguished results.

Thanking all those in charge of this honorable work, and all those who participated effectively and seriously in achieving the remarkable progress and rapid leaps that the university is making to eliminate illiteracy in the governorate and declare Sohag free of illiteracy, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

From his part, Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, congratulated all the university’s staff, headed by Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, on this well-deserved and well-known achievement and success in the field of literacy, which distinguished the university among the  Egyptian and Arab universities.

He also pointed out that the university administration is keen to intensify the efforts made.
