The supreme council of the universities seeks to develop the Egyptian Universities and raise its competitive abilities between the Arab and the universal universities through many developmental projects which it executes.
Worthy mentioning is that Information and communication technology project is considered one of the pioneering projects and it comprises five essential supporters which are:
1-Develop the technological basic structure for the Egyptian Universities network “infrastructure”.
2-Develop the possibilities of the Egyptian Universities in preparing the electronic learning programs.
3- The training program at the Egyptian Universities.
4-Develop the possibilities of the management information system project.
5-Develop the services of the libraries.
