Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University and Hayat Karima Foundation, honored 20 students from the Students for Egypt Family at the university from various faculties, due to their effective efforts in Hayat Karima’s volunteer work, in the presence of both Dr. Alaa Ghaleb, head of Students for Egypt Family, and Dr. Mamdouh Al-Sayyid, Vice Dean of Faculty of Physical Education for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Rumaili, Professor at faculty of Science, Dr. Muhammad Abdel Hamid, Director of the Languages and Translation Center, and Rehab Mukhtar, representative of Decent Life, in the faculty Council Hall in the Old University Campus.
Al-Numany said that honoring student volunteers comes within the framework of spreading the culture of volunteer work among university students, encouraging them to participate in public work to employ their enthusiastic energy, benefiting from their abilities in the projects of the presidential initiative “A Decent Life,” and developing students’ awareness of the magnitude of the state’s development achievements and efforts and work to provide opportunities for students who wish to volunteer in the initiative, participate in volunteer work in the institution, and introduce the tasks of the Decent Life
Presidential Initiative.
Emphasizing that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, has launched several health and community initiatives in all parts of the country, including the “Decent Life” initiative, to change the appearance of Egypt in an unprecedented way at the regional level, establish advanced infrastructure, provide integrated community services, and bring Egypt to the position it deserves.
From his part, Dr. Alaa Ghaleb called the university students to volunteer in the presidential initiative “Decent Life”, based on the university’s national and societal responsibility towards an integrated and sustainable development initiative, stressing that the participation of university students magnifies the concept of partnerships for development, and contributes to unifying all efforts.
State institutions, civil society and the private sector with the aim of providing a decent life for the most needy groups in the governorates of Egypt and investing in human development and promoting the values of citizenship, directing sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of the University, for his constant and continuous support for all student and volunteer activities at the University
