Sohag University President announces the Start of the Trial operation of the Outpatient Clinics at Al Azima Center to provide Treatment Services to the addicts

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, announced the start of the trial operation of the outpatient clinics of Al-Azma Center in the New Sohag City, in coordination with Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse, in preparation for including it among the presidential openings during the coming period, and it is the first integrated center to treat and rehabilitate addicts in the governorate, as it began receiving patients, free of charge, in complete confidentiality, and in accordance with international standards.

Al-Noamani stressed that the establishment of the center comes within the framework of the interest that the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, attaches to developing Upper Egypt and improving the quality of life of its citizens in various aspects, especially addiction issues, as the President of the Republic gave his sponsorship to the National Plan to Combat Drugs (2024-2028), which was prepared by the Anti-Drug Fund and treatment of addiction and abuse in cooperation with (12 relevant ministries), and preparations are underway for its launch, directing sincere thanks to Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity.

And the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse, for her strenuous efforts in the file related to addiction treatment, including providing therapeutic services to patients, implementing programs for psychological support and social rehabilitation, and economic empowerment programs for those recovering from drug abuse, in addition to implementing campaigns to educate young people about falling into the clutches of addiction.

Al-Numani added that the center includes 3 outpatient clinics to receive patients, and an inpatient reservation, for 81 beds nearly 5,000 addicts are scheduled to benefit from the center annually, between outpatient clinics and inpatient reservations, where all supplies, therapeutic services, and psychological support and social rehabilitation programs are provided for patients. Addiction is free and in complete secrecy, from the people of Sohag Governorate and neighboring governorates.

It is worth noting that the center is being built on an area of ​​1,112 square meters, and is equipped with a capacity of 81 beds.

It includes an administrative building and a rehabilitation building.

The administrative building includes a ground floor and 3 additional floors, a number of clinics, a pharmacy, a theater, a hall for VIPs, administrative offices, housing, and offices for administrators, the rehabilitation building includes a hall for sports activities, including a gymnasium and a games hall, a room for workshops, a restaurant and a cafeteria, and floors for accommodation for patients, detoxification and rehabilitation services, and vocational training workshops to teach recovering people vocational crafts needed by the labor market.

In addition, the center is located next to a football field with an area of ​​1,500 square meters, gardens and green spaces, in order to rehabilitate those recovering from addiction, and provide support and care after recovery to prepare them for integration in society again, to be effective, productive and contributing elements in serving the nation.

 

 

Sohag University contracts with a cleaning company to provide a clean, healthy and sustainable environment for its members

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, stated that a contract was made with a cleaning company to carry out comprehensive cleaning work, in order to maintain a clean, healthy environment in accordance with quality requirements and to maintain the health and safety of all its members, with a total value amounting to 7 million and 550 thousand and 460 pounds annually, including Operating supplies and hygiene tools, for one year.

Al-Numani stressed the importance of adhering to the cleanliness system within the university in its new and old headquarters, central administrations and the International Conference Center, and implementing all terms of the contract to achieve an effective and sustainable cleaning system, pointing out that the work system is carried out in two shifts, morning and evening, in all parts of the university except for the university cities, and one shift, explaining that The nature of the work includes cleaning and polishing floors, glass facades, offices, buildings, roads, etc.
