Sohag University Hospital establishes a program to treat birthmarks and skin hematomas

Dr. Mostafa Abdel-Khalek, President of Sohag University, announced that the University Hospital has started work on establishing a specialized program for the treatment of birthmarks and hematomas in the skin in children, with the aim of providing medical care to beneficiaries in Sohag Governorate and Upper Egypt.
Abdel Khalek said that the program represents a distinguished medical precedent that aims to facilitate the treatment process for patients and their families, in implementation of the directives of the Egyptian state, and within the framework of the university’s keenness to improve the health care system and provide treatment services at a high level of quality to patients.
Dr. Magdi Amin Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, explained that the University Hospitals Board of Directors has approved the establishment of an integrated program for the treatment of birthmarks and hematomas of the skin, to include a medical team consisting of the following specialties: “plastic surgery, children, dermatology, interventional radiology” and other specialties Clinically determined by the needs of each case.
