The Council of Sohag University, headed by Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of the University, began its 217th session in February 2025 by sending congratulations to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, “President of the Arab Republic of Egypt,” on the occasion of Ramadan, asking God to crown efforts with success and prosperity, and to return these blessed days to Egypt and the Arab and Islamic nation.
The University Council also congratulated Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, and Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Al-Nomany explained that the Council discussed a number of important issues, including approving the amendment of the internal regulations of the faculty of Pharmacy “Bachelor of Pharmaceuticals-Pharm de-Clinical” with the credit hours system, after finishing the necessary amendments to separate the Department of Pharmaceutics and Clinical Pharmacy into two separate departments, and the department’s approval to separate the department into two departments: “Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Technology – Clinical Pharmacy.”
It is worth noting that it was approved to appoint 3 staff members in the positions of professors in the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy, and 12 staff members in the positions of lecturers in the Faculties of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, and to grant PHD degrees to 18 staff members in the Faculties of Medicine, Agriculture, Science, Education, Physical Education, and Arts, and to grant master’s degrees to 23 Staff members in the Faculties of Arts, Education, Science, Medicine, Arts, Physical Education, Commerce, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, and Agriculture.
