Sohag University begins the Second Semester with an Awareness Seminar for the Students about “Egyptian National Security…Challenges and Ways of Confrontation,” lectured by Major General Staff Samir Farag

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, opened the awareness-raising symposium activities in which the strategic military expert, Major General Staff Samir Farag, lectured under the title “Egyptian National Security: Challenges and Ways of Confrontation,” in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin and Dr. Khaled Omran, vice presidents of the university, and Brigadier General Nader Nabil, the military advisor to the governorate, Colonel Muhammad Kamal, Director of  Decent Life Foundation, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Safwat, Director of Military Education at the University, and a group of clerics from Al-Azhar and the Church, representatives of civil society, university leaders, deans of faculties, staff members, and students, took place at the International Conference Center at the New University campus.                         At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany welcomed Major General Staff Dr. Samir Farag in his second country, Sohag, and in the university, which he visited several times, expressing his happiness in the presence of a great national figure who has a career full of giving in the service of the nation, appreciating his endurance of the hardships of travel in order to meet the students of the university to benefit from his rich experiences, emphasizing the university’s keenness to organize such events to spread awareness and enhance national belonging among students, and to understand current issues and their impact on the future of the country in light of the challenges facing our dear homeland

              Al-Nomany said that the university is constantly seeking to spread community awareness and enhance students’ awareness of their role in protecting and building the nation security is not limited to protecting borders only, but also includes intellectual, economic, social, and cultural security from this standpoint, the university is committed to enhancing the awareness of its students through educational seminars and student activities that shed light on the current challenges facing Egypt, whether internally or externally.
