Rules for Granting Medical Excuses

In the case that the student is unable to attend lectures, practical lessons or exams, the following will be done:

  1.  The student submits a request to the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs or the Dean of the College to obtain a medical excuse.
  2. Prof. / Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs shall refer the student with medical reports about his condition as he is detained in the internal section of a hospital or at his residence and cannot move to the General Administration of Medical Affairs.
  3.  The medical committee shall undertake the examination of the student, whether in the medical department, in the hospital where he is being held, or in his place of residence, if necessary.
  4. The student pays an amount of 100 pounds (one hundred pounds nothing more than the value of the stamp of medical services for medical excuses) before signing the medical examination on him. After signing the examination, the committee prepares a detailed medical report on the student’s condition and decides whether or not to accept him. For education and student affairs, the decision of the committee is binding on the Colleges Council.
  5.  In the case of excuses related to exams, it is required that the student must present it before or during the exams, and no excuse will be considered after the end of the exam work, except in the case of accidents whose reports are received from the hospital in which the student is detained, and it is required that they arrive before the approval of the results of the exams.
  6. If the student is exposed to a sudden illness while taking the exam that prevents him from completing the exam, a medical examination will be signed on him with the knowledge of the committee doctor, and a report will be written on his condition approved by the head of the examination committee.
  7.  Do not submit any unsatisfactory excuses to the medical committee.
  8. In cases that require a special examination committee, the General Administration of Medical Affairs shall be notified within a period of no less than 72 hours (three days) in coordinating with Prof. / Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs or the Dean of the College to hold the examination committee at the hospital headquarters.

 

** The student submits a sick excuse to his the student affairs administration, which transfers him to the medical department to make a medical examination and a sick excuse according to the student’s condition, and he pays 100 pounds in the form of stamps that are placed on the sick excuse, as well as for the work of special committees.
