President of the Egyptian Military Academy hosts President of Sohag University and a student delegation during their First Visit to the Academy’s headquarters in the Administrative Capital*

Al-Nomany: I extend my thanks and appreciation to Lieutenant General Ashraf Zaher for giving his students the opportunity to visit the Academy’s headquarters and learn closely about the role played by the armed forces in protecting the homeland.

El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, during an inspection visit to the Egyptian Military Academy, accompanied by a student delegation and a number of staff members and the administrative staff, at the new headquarters of the Academy in the Administrative Capital, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Safwat, Director of the Military Education Department at the University.

Al-Nomany praised President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s speech during his inspection of the Military Academy students’ line-up yesterday, explaining that it carries clear and decisive messages that confirm the pivotal role played by Egypt in the region, stressing that the Egyptian people will remain united around the President, especially during the exceptional circumstances and current regional challenges.

This reflects the strength, unity and solidity of the Egyptian internal front, and that the sincerity and dedication of His Excellency the President in his work and the successive achievements that are taking place on the homeland make him worthy of all appreciation and greetings from the Egyptian people.

During his speech delivered in the Military Academy Hall, Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Lieutenant General Abdul Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

Lieutenant General Ashraf Zaher Ali gave the opportunity to their students to visit the new headquarters of the Academy in the Administrative Capital, which is the first visit by a university delegation after its transfer to the new headquarters, in order to learn closely about the role played by the Armed Forces in protecting the homeland, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

By organizing field visits for the university students to raise their sense of loyalty and belonging, and to see on the ground what is happening inside major military buildings.

Al-Nomany praised what he saw inside the Egyptian Military Academy of technological capabilities and potentials that reflect the extent to which the educational institutions of the Egyptian Armed Forces have reached in terms of development and modernization in the systems of preparation and qualification according to the highest levels of advanced education, offering his thanks to the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces.

The visit activities began with a documentary film about the establishment, development and role of the academy in graduating successive generations of qualified officers.

Then, Brigadier General Ahmed Khairi, Assistant President of the Academy, accompanied the university delegation in a tour of the corridors of the Military academy, during which the students learned about the various training fields for the students of the Military Academy, followed by an inspection of the specialized study laboratories that keep pace with the latest technological educational methods.

The delegation also inspected the gymnasium, which is equipped with the latest advanced equipment that contributes to improving the physical abilities of students, the squash hall, the training rooms, and the students’ living rooms.

Moreover the university students expressed their happiness with this visit and their pride and appreciation for what they saw of the capabilities and abilities of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and the keenness of the military figures to answer all their questions, extending their thanks to Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of the University, for his keenness to organize such distinguished visits, which are happening for the first time at the university, to refine their experiences and knowledge and to learn about the history and capabilities of the Egyptian military, past and present.

At the end of the visit, Lieutenant General Ashraf Zaher, President of the Egyptian Military Academy, and Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of the University, exchanged commemorative shields.
