The Quality Assurance Center at Sohag University organized a simulation visit to the Faculty of Education to monitor the readiness of the academic programs that have applied for accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. This visit is in preparation for the official review visit from the authority, scheduled for April 27-29.
This visit reflects the university’s commitment to implementing quality systems and applying their standards.
Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of the University, confirmed that the University has recently achieved a breakthrough in applying education quality and accreditation systems in the services provided by it, whether educational, research or community, to achieve its mission in the most complete manner and enhance its position, in line with the state’s plan to raise the level of higher education and activate accreditation and quality standards.
He explained that the visit aims to evaluate the progress made in the accreditation standards for three programs: Arabic, English, and French, in accordance with the accreditation standards and evaluation of indicators and applied practices.
Dr. Hussein Taha, Dean of the faculty, explained that during the visit, a number of extensive meetings were held with the staff members, support staff, and coordinators of the Arabic, English, and French language programs, in addition to a private meeting with a representative sample of students from the three programs.
He pointed out that the faculty offers a good learning environment and highly disciplined curriculum, as part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to remain a leading educational institution providing educational, research, and community services, based on digitization and technological advancement.
Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed, Director of the Quality Assurance Center, added that the team conducted a field tour of the faculty, inspecting the quality assurance units, measurement and evaluation, control rooms, the library, and the examination hall.
The team made recommendations for better securing the examination hall.
The team also reviewed the self-study of the English language program.
He explained that the visiting team included Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Ahmed, Director of the Center, and Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghani Ahmed.
