For the first time, the President of Sohag University receives the Nursing Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities and discusses Mechanisms to support Nursing Faculties and Developments related to Teaching and Training.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nu’many, President of Sohag University, received members of the Nursing Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Dr. Suhair Badr El-Din, Chair of the Committee, and Dr. Nadia Taha, Rapporteur of the Committee.

The meeting was attended by members of the committee, including deans of nursing faculties from various Egyptian universities. Dr. Nadia Saleh, Dean of the faculty, the faculty’s vice deans, heads of departments, and staff members were also present.

Al-Nu’many welcomed the university’s distinguished guests, especially the head of the committee, for their keenness to visit the university for the first time. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the attendees, including professors and deans of nursing faculties from various Egyptian universities, emphasizing that Sohag University is one of the prestigious Egyptian universities that has received great attention from the political leadership.

She succeeded in attracting attention and admiration thanks to the integrity of her students and their determination to advance and elevate the university’s name.

Dr. Suhair Badr El-Din exchanged thanks and appreciation to the university president, expressing her delight at visiting the university and meeting this distinguished group of professors and university leaders, and wishing the university administration continued progress and prosperity.

The meeting addressed the latest global developments in the field of nursing, technological advancements in teaching and training, as well as mechanisms to support nursing colleges and identify their needs.

This is in order to improve the educational process and graduate a new generation of qualified nursing staff capable of working professionally in the fields of nursing and healthcare.

Dr. Nadia Saleh added that the meeting also addressed topics related to qualifying nursing graduates to meet the needs of the labor market, and how to develop their professional and scientific skills and abilities to compete strongly in the field of nursing, in addition to discussing some issues related to the nursing sector in Egypt, and proposing some solutions to finally eliminate such problems.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Hassan Al-Nu’many presented the university’s shield to Dr. Suhair Badr Al-Din and Dr. Nadia Taha in recognition of their efforts in the sector and in appreciation of their honorable presence at the university. Dr. Suhair Badr Al-Din also presented the sector committee’s shield to the university president in appreciation of his tangible efforts at the university, and also presented the sector’s shield to the dean of the faculty for her tireless work within the faculty.
