Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, received, in his office, at the Ministry\u2019s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, to extend congratulations on the occasion of renewing the confidence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for assuming the portfolio of the Ministry of Health and Population for the second time, and appointing him as Vice President of the Council of the cabinet for Human Development Affairs.<\/p>\n

Al-Nomani thanked and appreciated the President of the Republic for renewing his confidence in Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and assigning him the affairs of the Ministry of Health, given his distinguished efforts in many health files, in addition to his prominent duties as Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Affairs, the most important of which is investing in human capital through integration between human, health, psychological, social, educational, and skill development, and preparing them for the labor market, in a way that ensures a decent life for all citizens, and the advancement and prosperity of the Egyptian state.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Al-Noamani reviewed the university\u2019s achievements in the health sector and the therapeutic services it provides at the highest level, and the active role played by Sohag University Hospitals, especially in South Upper Egypt, in providing free therapeutic services.<\/p>\n

Al-Noamani provided a detailed explanation of the medical monuments in the new university land, such as Shifa Children\u2019s Hospital, as a gift from President Sisi addressed the people of Upper Egypt, the cost of establishing is approximately one billion pounds, in addition to the University Hospital in its old and new headquarters, the Specialized Surgical Hospital, as well as the establishment of the Burns Hospital, for which the President issued a decision to allocate 10,000 square meters to be the first specialized hospital for treating burns in southern Upper Egypt.<\/p>\n
