Al-Nomani thanked President Sisi for his unlimited support for the development of Upper Egypt\u2019s universities, including Sohag University, which has received financial and moral support in recent years to implement a number of new constructions.  He also extended his thanks to Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, for his efforts.  He made tireless efforts to open the faculty and begin studying there in a short period of time, explaining that the faculty is the first in Upper Egypt and will have a great impact in studying and developing environmental research to contribute to achieving sustainable development. Prof. Hamdy Hassanein, Dean of the faculty, said that lectures have begun in 4 postgraduate diploma programs (Diploma in vocational Safety and Health, Microbiology and Immunology, Sustainable Development and Resource Development, Laboratory Science and Laboratory Analysis), and 3 Master\u2019s programs (Environmental Control and Environmental Impact Assessment, Biotechnology).Environmental Crisis and Disaster Management), in addition to a doctoral program, which is (Environmental Crisis and Disaster Management). Dr. Hamdy Al-Sharif, vice dean for postgraduate studies and research, added that the faculty\u2019s study system is divided into 3 semesters, each semester lasts 15 weeks.
