Studying System<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

A statement of the total tuition and laboratory fees<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Tuition fees and laboratory fees<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Presidential Decree No. 311 of 1994 amending some provisions of the executive regulations of the Universities Organization Law. And it is replaced by the texts of Articles 65 and 271 (items 4 and 2 of the first, the first paragraph of the second, and items one and three of the sixth).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Article 65: With the exception of the original certificates of academic degrees and diplomas that are granted after collecting the stamp fee, a fee of five pounds is imposed on the provisional certificate that is issued from the records, to prove obtaining the academic degree or diploma, and a fee of fifty pounds is imposed on the certificate that is issued according to the records, including Data on educational status and aspects of activity, all after collecting the stamp fee, and allocating the proceeds of this fee for educational services.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Fees for practical and theoretical faculties<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The University Council, held on 7\/31\/2018, approved the increase in tuition fees as follows:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Increasing the value of the Solidarity Fund assistance by 5 pounds (nine and a half pounds only).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Collecting an amount of 100 pounds (one hundred pounds) for electronic services fees.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

In addition to the above, an amount of 300 pounds (three hundred pounds only) is collected for general diploma students, the one-year system, in return for activating the system of broadcasting lectures for distance education.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

According to the Prime Minister\u2019s Decree No. (2523) for the year 2017 AD, Article No. (335) and to which it states: It is permissible, by the decision of the University Council, to determine a percentage of the university\u2019s income sources to support student unions, as is obtained from all Egyptian and expatriate students enrolled in the bachelor\u2019s and licentiate levels<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(General Division – Regularity – Affiliation – Division of Study in English – Division of Study in French – Distinguished and non-traditional or new programs – Blended e-learning) and postgraduate students in all colleges and institutes subject to the provisions of the law organizing the aforementioned universities with an annual subscription of 3% of the total expenses The annual tuition fees for a student at a minimum of 20 pounds are added to the amounts required to be paid in exchange for services and social, cultural, sports, artistic and other activities in the light of what the councils of student unions propose, provided that the allocated amounts are distributed as follows:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

70<\/span>% for the Union of Colleges or Institutes Students<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

30<\/span>% for the University Student Union<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

These amounts may not be exempted.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Grievance fees from the result of postgraduate studies<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The University Council decided in its session No. (135) on 7\/31\/2018 to approve:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

– Collecting an amount of 150 pounds for each course the student wishes to monitor his grades, and an amount of 200 pounds for looking at the theoretical answer sheet, the practical and oral degrees, and the year\u2019s work in detail, in order to raise the university\u2019s resources.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Tuition fee refund<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

It is disbursed to teaching assistants and assistant teachers enrolled outside the university after the approval of the dean of the college and the president of the university to enroll<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Full fees are spent throughout the study period<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Paperwork<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

A request from the researcher, signed by the dean of the college, to agree to refund tuition fees.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The original payment receipts signed by the Secretary of the Faculty behind the receipt and stamped with the seal of the faculty affiliated to it at Sohag University.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

A certificate of enrollment or statement from the college in which he is registered outside the university outside the university stamped with the seal of the eagle showing the degree, the value of the fees and the year of payment.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Law No. 49 of 1972 AD<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Article 174 of Law No. 49 of 1972 AD states the following:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

\u201cRegistration for postgraduate studies shall be within the dates specified in the internal regulations, and enrollment shall take place after taking the opinion of the relevant department councils with the approval of the College or Institute Council and the approval of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

B- The executive regulations of the law:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Article \u201c93\u201d of the executive regulations of Law \u201c49\u201d of 1972 AD states the following:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u201cThe internal regulations of the colleges indicate the dates of enrollment for postgraduate studies, in a way that suits the conditions of study in each college.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

And Article \u201c94\u201d of the executive regulations stipulates that:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

A postgraduate student may not enroll in more than one diploma or higher university degree at the same time, except with the approval of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Council based on the proposal of the College Council and after taking the opinion of the relevant department councils.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Teaching assistants or teaching assistants may not register for postgraduate studies to obtain a university degree in a field other than their department\u2019s specialization except by a decision of the university president after the approval of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Council based on the proposal of the College Council and after taking the opinion of the relevant department councils.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Article 174 of Law 49 of 1972 states:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Enrollment for postgraduate studies shall take place on the dates specified in the internal regulations, and enrollment shall take place after taking the opinion of the competent department councils.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

2 – College Graduate Studies and Research Committee:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Paragraph \u201c7\u201d of Article \u201c29\u201d of the executive regulations stipulates<\/span> the competence of the College\u2019s Postgraduate Studies and Research Committee to \u201cconsider the enrollment and transfer of postgraduate students, the transfer and suspension of enrollment, and exam excuses.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Paragraph \u201c8\u201d of Article \u201c29\u201d of the executive regulations stipulates<\/span> the competence of the Graduate Studies and Research Committee in the college to consider the proposals of department councils regarding the registration of master\u2019s and doctoral theses and the reports of their supervisors, and to appoint committees to judge theses before submitting them to the college council.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

3 College Council:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The competence of the College Council is to enroll postgraduate students, register master\u2019s and doctoral theses, appoint committees to judge theses, and cancel enrollment and registration.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

4- Postgraduate Studies and Research Council:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Article 34 of the Universities Organization Law states the following:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The Graduate Studies and Research Council, chaired by the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, is formed, and the membership is:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(1) Vice deans of colleges and institutes affiliated with the university for postgraduate studies and research.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(2) A number of members of not less than three and not more than five with experience in production and service sites, appointed for a renewable two-year term by a decision of the University President after taking the opinion of the Graduate Studies and Research Council and the approval of the University Council, and it is not permissible for them to combine this membership with Membership of the concerned university council.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Article (35) of the Universities Organization Law<\/span> provides for the competence of the Graduate Studies and Research Council to consider the following issues:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

First: Planning, coordination, organization and follow-up issues:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Studying and preparing the general policy for postgraduate studies and research at the university, and coordinating them in the university’s faculties and institutes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Drawing up the policy to ensure cooperation and coordination between departments and similar subjects in the university’s faculties and institutes with regard to postgraduate studies and research at the university.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Preparing a general plan for the university’s scholarships and study leaves, and for maintaining foreign scholarships.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Preparing a program to complement faculty members from inside or outside universities, and to form integrated teams of researchers in different disciplines.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Develop a policy for sending faculty members in universities on scientific missions.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Develop a plan to hold scientific conferences, symposiums and seminars in universities, and to participate in those held outside the university, inside and outside the country.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Expressing an opinion on setting the executive regulations for universities with regard to postgraduate studies and research.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Organizing the admission of postgraduate students to the university.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Preparing the scientific research account system at the university.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Preparing a sabbatical rewards system for postgraduate studies and research at the university.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Discussing the reports of colleges and institutes, the recommendations of their scientific conferences, the reports of the scientific departments at the university, the annual report of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and evaluating and reviewing the systems of postgraduate studies and research in the university to ensure their advancement.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Following up the implementation of the postgraduate studies and research plan at the university.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Inventory and analysis of all data and statistics of the teaching staff, assistant teachers, teaching assistants, postgraduate studies, research and rare devices at the university.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Preparing the scientific research budget project at the university Preparing the scientific research budget project at the university, and setting up a system for disposing of its budget items.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Second: Executive matters:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

(1) Managing the scientific research fund at the university.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(2) Receiving scientific problems from various scientific and technical bodies and distributing them to the university’s faculties and specialized institutes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(3) Exempting postgraduate students from some academic courses and exams.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(4) Determining dates for postgraduate examinations in the university’s faculties and institutes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(5) Report of sabbatical rewards for postgraduate studies.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(6) Delegation on university scholarships and foreign scholarships, and study leave reports.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(7) Delegating faculty members on scientific missions and to attend conferences, scientific seminars and seminars.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(8) Authorizing professors to take sabbatical leave.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(9) Collecting scientific research, encouraging it, publishing it, distributing it to faculty members at the university, and exchanging it with scientists and scientific bodies inside and outside the country.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(10) Distributing the scientific research budget at the university according to the proposed programmes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Third: miscellaneous issues:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

(1) Matters referred to it by the University Council.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(2) Other matters to which it is concerned in accordance with the law.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

5- Accreditation of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Article: 174 of Law 49 of 1972 AD states the following<\/span>: A<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Enrollment for postgraduate studies takes place on the dates specified in the internal regulations, and enrollment takes place after taking the opinion of the relevant department councils with the approval of the college or institute council and the approval of the vice president for postgraduate studies and research affairs.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Documents required for registration<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Provisional bachelor’s degree (for applicants applying for a diploma or master’s degree).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Temporary master’s degree (for applicants applying for a doctoral degree).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

A statement of the student’s grades during the years of study.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

A copy of the personal identification card, the \u201cnational number.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

(3) personal photos measuring 4 x 6 cm.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Employer approval for enrollment and study for government or public business sector workers.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

A declaration of non-employment (for those who are not working in the government or the public business sector).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The approval of the employer to study full time for government or business sector workers if the study requires full time (or according to the text of the internal regulations of the college).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Conscription status certificate (deferred\/temporary exemption\/permanently exempted).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The approval of the armed forces \u201cfor recruits.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The approval of the Officers\u2019 Affairs (if the applicant for registration is an officer in the armed forces or a police officer, or if the applicant for registration is a working officer in the armed forces, a reserve officer who has not completed compulsory service, or a police officer).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Decisions of the University Council regarding enrollment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The University Council decided, in its session No. (133) on 5\/28\/2018, to approve that a researcher wishing to enroll for a master\u2019s or doctoral degree obtains an ICDL certificate as a condition, starting from the date of the University Council\u2019s decision, provided that the university\u2019s information network gives researchers who have an IcDL certificate from any A body other than the university has evidence of its validity, accredited and documented, and the decision is applied to students enrolled in the academic year 2018\/2019.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Open Education Graduates<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

On 11\/25\/2018, the Postgraduate Studies Council decided to confirm the decision of the Supreme Council of Universities, which states that \u201cstudents of open education (not blended education) have the right to enroll in postgraduate studies, while setting controls according to the internal regulations of each college.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The University Council, in its session No. (136) on 9\/30\/2018, decided to approve the admission of open education students to postgraduate studies or to apply for professional or special diplomas and beyond in the College of Education.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Terms of registration of the research topic<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

On October 23, 2018, the Postgraduate Studies Council agreed to oblige postgraduate students (Master’s – PhD) to create an account on the researchers’ portal at the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and to consider this as a condition for registration for master’s and doctoral degrees through the university’s digital library.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Transfer of registration and conversion<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The transfer from a college to a corresponding college and the transfer of enrollment takes place from one college to a different college and is within the jurisdiction of:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

1) The Graduate Studies and Research Committee of the College (paragraph 7 of Article 29 of the executive regulations).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

2) The College Council (paragraph 18 of Article 41 of Law 49 of 1972 AD) and the decision of the College Council in this regard is approved by Prof. Dr. \/ Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

If the transfer takes place until the first of December, the fees are the right of the college to which he is transferred, and if the transfer takes place after the first of December, the fees become the right of the college from which he is transferred<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Suspension of registration and cancellation of registration<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

1- Paragraph (7) of Article 29 of the executive regulations states:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The competence of the Graduate Studies and Research Committee in the college is to consider the enrollment of postgraduate students, their transfer, the transfer and suspension of enrollment, and exam excuses.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

2- Paragraph (19) Second of Article \u201c41\u201d of Law No. 49 of 1972 AD states:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The competence of the College Council is to enroll postgraduate students, register master’s and doctoral theses, and cancel enrollment and registration.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a03- Article 175 of Law No. 49 of 1972 AD states:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Taking into account the provisions of Article (36), the registration of master’s and doctoral theses and the cancellation of registration shall be with the approval of the Graduate Studies and Research Council at the request of the College or Institute Council after taking the opinion of the concerned department council.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

4- Article 69 of the executive regulations stipulates that:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The College Council may suspend the enrollment of the student for two consecutive or separate academic years during the academic year if he presents an acceptable excuse that prevents him from attending the study. In case of necessity, the University Council may increase the period of suspension of enrollment.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sohag University was established by Republican Decree No. 324 of 2007, and studies began officially in 2008 with the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities in its session No. 491 held on Sunday, corresponding to 7\/9\/2008 AD.
