University is a regional university which has a general strategic aim which is covering the needs of the national and local labor market from the qualified graduates scientifically and practically.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It also aims at preparing a generation of the distinguished scientists.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Worthy mentioning is that the history of Sohag University extends from the history of the construction of the first faculty which is faculty of education in 1971.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">After this the construction of faculty of scinece,faculty of arts and faculty of medicine came ,these faculties were subordinate to Assuit University then they became subordinate to South valley University.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 2006 Sohag University was set up to comprise all the faculties of Sohag governorate.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The faculties of the university are distributed over two campuses, the old one in the east of Sohag governorate with an area of \u200b\u200bapproximately 30 acres, and it includes (Central Administration, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Human Medicine, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Pharmacy, Technical Institute of Nursing, university hospitals).<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And the new one in the new city of Sohag, which is about 11 km away from the old university, with an area of \u200b\u200b1,000 acres (750 acres for buildings and 250 acres for farms), and it includes (Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Education, College of Arts, College of Agriculture, Faculty of Engineering, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Physical Education, College of Law, Faculty of Al-Alsun, Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, and the Conference Center (New Suez Canal Hall).<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The university has played an important role since its establishment in 2006 in supporting the development process and participating in national issues with all its human and technical capabilities and various experiences, through the contributions of its centers and units of a special nature in community service and environmental development, with the services it provides in the different
