The President of Sohag University signs the first cooperation protocol at the new headquarters of Dar Al-Iftaa in the presence of Dr. Shawqi Allam

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, and Dr. Shawqi Allam, Mufti of the Republic, Head of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Bodies in the World, signed a cooperation protocol with the aim of exchanging experiences in the scientific, research and training fields. This is at the new headquarters of the Egyptian Fatwa House in Cairo.

Al-Nomani stressed that this protocol comes within the framework of integration and fruitful cooperation between the various state institutions under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, pointing out that this protocol will be the beginning of fruitful cooperation between the university and the Fatwa House on many common issues, most important of which is correcting misconceptions and subversive, combating extremist ideas, promoting institution building, and consolidating a culture of cooperation and dialogue among university youth, congratulating the Mufti on the opening of the new building of the Egyptian Fatwa House.

It is worth noting that the provisions of the protocol signed between the university and the Fatwa House stipulate cooperation between the two parties in holding scientific conferences and seminars concerned with common and societal issues and issues, especially in the field of confronting extremist thought, renewing religious and fatwa thought, issues of sustainable development and digital transformation, in addition to organizing many joint events and programs. Training for each of the fatwa issuers, university professors and students, administrators and technicians in their various specializations, in addition to cooperation in preparing scientific studies and encyclopedias concerned with common and societal issues and issues, as well as exchanging publications, research and scientific journals.
