The President of Sohag University receives the cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Jordan and a number of international students

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, received Dr. Abdullah Al-Harahsheh, the cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Cairo, a Jordanian delegation and a number of students coming from the Kingdom, at his office on the old university campus.

The President of the University valued the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the academic aspects, explaining that the meeting discussed cooperation mechanisms between the university and Jordanian higher education institutions, through scientific exchange of staff members and researchers, especially in the medical field, expanding the scope of student exchange, and joint supervision of scientific theses, in addition to launching joint scientific research projects between the two countries.

Al-Noamani explained that the university seeks, as part of its plan, to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030, by developing new educational programs that suit the needs of the labor market, and attracting large numbers of students from all countries to study at Sohag University.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Harahsheh expressed his happiness at being in this ancient educational edifice, directing his sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hassan Al-Numani for the marvelous hospitality, and to all those working within this distinguished educational institution, and for the efforts he makes for incoming students to facilitate all study procedures at the university, providing distinguished educational services and suitable living accommodation, so that they can be an ambassador for Egypt in their country, wishing for more cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah also praised the university’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause, in addition to its remarkable progress in international ranking, the latest of which was its obtaining first place among Egyptian universities in the infrastructure standard, and its successive leaps in the international classification of sustainable universities.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Abdullah gave a souvenir to Dr. Hassan Al-Numani, which is a three-dimensional shield commemorative to the ancient city of Petra in Jordan.
