Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, chaired the permanent Committee for choosing Leadership Positions and Supervisory Administration at the university, to select the Director General of the University Security and Graduate Studies Departments and the Secretary of faculty of Education.
The committee consists of Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Student Education Affairs, Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Nabil Nour El-Din, former University President, Accountant. Ashraf El-Qadi, Secretary-General of the University, Counselor Mohamed Diaa El-Din, Legal Advisor to the University, and Essam El-Hanawy, Director of the Directorate of Organization and Administration in Sohag.
The university president explained that applicants evaluation based on several criteria: career history, academic abilities appropriate for the position, the quality of the development proposal, and the availability of personal traits in the candidate such as leadership, assertiveness, and the ability to manage crises, pointing out that the candidates submitted presentations about their CVs and academic qualifications and career progression. The committee also listened to the goals and actual steps that should be achieved to develop performance and improve the quality of work at the university.
The list of candidates for the position of Director General of the University Security Department included Major General Tariq Hafez, and for the applicant for the position of Director General of the Graduate Studies Department, was Dr. Yasser Refaat Abdel Rahman, and for the applicants for the position of Secretary of faculty of Education, it included 12 applicants from the university’s various faculties.
