Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, and Major General Hisham Hamdi Al-Nahrawi, Director of Sohag International Airport, signed a cooperation protocol, with the aim of providing medical and scientific care, in the presence of prof. Magdy El-Kady, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Fathi, General Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Hamed, Director of the New University Hospital, Pilot Moamen Hassan, Director of the Passenger Building, Walid Abdel Hafeez, Head of the Systems and Crisis Department, and Sherif Fathallah, Public Relations Officer.
Al-Nomani explained that the protocol stipulates that the new Sohag University Hospital, which President Sisi inaugurated last January, is the largest and most important educational medical edifice in South Upper Egypt, as its cost about one billion pounds, of which 175 million pounds are the cost of medical furnishings for the new hospital, and 50 million pounds for the cost of non-medical furniture, by providing its medical and therapeutic services to Sohag International Airport in the emergency incidents, adding that the new hospital is located in the desert back of the governorate, which does not have many services, which appreciates the value of the hospital for serving its urban community, in addition to its proximity to the airport.
