*Students with disabilities at Sohag University vote in the presidential elections

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, followed the movement of students with disabilities from the university headquarters to their electoral committees to vote, amidst great joy at their participation in this democratic electoral celebration and exercising their political rights to shape the future of their country, in the presence of Dr. Imad Al-Sunaie, Director of the Nour Al-Basira Center at the university, and Dr. Salma Abdel Moneim, Deputy director of the center.

Al-Numani said that the university provided buses to transport students with disabilities to the headquarters of their committees and provided them with an appropriate climate to facilitate their movement.

 The university formed a dedicated committee to help students with disabilities since they left the university, and to get to know their electoral committees to facilitate their movement, stressing that disability is in thought.

It is not in the body, especially since people with disabilities represent a large segment and in the Egyptian society, and there are many distinguished models among them in various fields.

Al-Nomani praised the efforts made by the Egyptian state to facilitate the participation of people with special needs in the electoral entitlement, some of which are being implemented for the first time in Egypt, including the provision of ballot cards designed with the “Braille” writing method for the blind, and the “Video Call” service via sign language for people with hearing disabilities to learn about the voting mechanism within the electoral committees, and to provide the necessary assistance to people with mobility disabilities.
