Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, performed Friday prayers, with the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, in Al-Tayeb Square, his hometown in the city of Qurna, west of Luxor, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Ashraf Al-Qadi, Secretary-General of the University,Major General Tariq Hafez, Director of University Security, and a number of Al-Azhar imams and staff members at the university.
Dr. Hassan Al-Numani appreciated the efforts of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb in spreading the tolerant values of Islam and his endeavor to establish peace in the service of humanity, consolidate tolerance and coexistence and promote moderate religious discourse, stressing that the Grand Imam is a role model and a good example to follow.
