Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, participated in the regular meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which was held at Aswan University, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council and members of the Council.

Dr. Ayman Ashour reviewed a report about the most prominent activities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research during the month of January, the forefront of which was the meeting of the Minister of Higher Education with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and a presentation of the state’s efforts to develop higher education facilities in Egypt.
Al-Numani added that a number of important files related to the educational system were discussed, including the speedy announcement of the results of the first semester exams and university preparations for the second semester of the current academic year.
It is necessary to complete maintenance work at universities and university cities during the mid-year vacation.
Al-Noamani pointed out that the Minister had directed facilitating the visits of university students to the International Book Fair during the mid-year vacation and attending the various and diverse activities organized by the fair, which is considered a festival that contributes to developing awareness and culture among young people, adding that steps had been initiated to produce two new Egyptian medicines, as a result of employing scientific research outputs to support the national economy under the slogan “Made in Egypt.”
