Agricultural investment in scientific research outputs, a symposium organized by Sohag Agriculture

Dr. Mostafa Abdel-Khalek, President of Sohag University, witnessed the “Agricultural Investment in the Outputs of Scientific Research” symposium, which was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, with the aim of presenting agricultural investment opportunities to benefit from the outputs of scientific research, in the presence of Dr. Hassan Al-Numani, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Khalaf Hammam, Dean of the College, Dr. Kamal Talab, Executive Director of the Technology Valley at the university, and a group of faculty members and students, in the discussion hall at the college’s headquarters on the new campus.

Dr. Mustafa Abdel-Khaleq said that during the symposium, investment methods were reviewed in the field of fodder, fertilizers, pesticides, and livestock, introducing young people to how to manage the project and work plan, and providing full support to work under the umbrella of the university, in addition to presenting the available legal ways to communicate with funding bodies.

Dr. Hassan Al-Numani added that the aim of the symposium is to advance production in the direction of an economy based on knowledge and scientific research, in order to provide job opportunities and contribute to solving societal problems, foremost of which is food security, in addition to supporting the local economy and increasing its independence, stressing that the postgraduate studies and research sector is in the process of Creating a database of all promising and feasible projects, in preparation for establishing a forum to attract investment, in the presence of the executive and community leaders in the governorate and all institutions in the Egyptian state.

Dr. Khalaf Hammam explained that the symposium stressed the role played by the College of Agriculture in finding innovative solutions to reduce the import bill by providing new alternatives, explaining that there are a large number of projects on the way to implementation by establishing companies and establishing new partnerships with civil society institutions.

Dr. Kamal Talab indicated that the next stage will witness more innovative projects, which work to find real solutions to societal problems to link scientific research with society and create new opportunities, by establishing specialized companies capable of competition, pointing out that the Technology Valley opens its doors to support all ideas and companies. in all its various stages
