Sohag University jumps 228 places according to the Webamatrix world ranking

Mostafa Abdel-Khaleq, President of Sohag University, stated that the university’s website achieved an advanced ranking among international universities, including Arab and African, according to the Spanish Webometrics classification, which is concerned with the websites of universities and educational institutions, compared to the same classification from July 2021, where the university jumped 228 places by 7. 21%, and ranked 108th in Africa after advancing in the rankings by 33 positions, and advanced 24 positions to become 121 at the level of the Arab world.

Dr. Mohamed Heshmat, Director of the Information Center, added that the university has ranked 49th at the level of North African universities, and 283rd at the level of the Middle East, according to the Global Web Matrix Index, issued in January 2022, indicating that this progress is a good indicator that reflects the university’s level of progress in providing Services for students and faculty members.

Dr. Imad El-Din Abdullah, director of the university’s electronic portal, thanked the work team for the effort expended in raising the level of the website, wishing more excellence and achievement, promising that the website during the coming period will witness more updates and additions that can rise in the international and Arab classification.
