Work methods and organization department:
It holds the following responsibilities and specializations:
1- Studying the plan organization of the administrative unit and preparing the studies and presenting the suggestions which lead to the good organization.
2- Expressing the technical opinion in the projects of the establishment, or editing them or canceling them, of the new units.
3- Taking the executive procedures.
4-Conducting the studies which are necessary for simplifying the procedures, templates, registers and the planning , so as to achieve the promoting in the authority.
5-Conducting the studies which related to the performance rates, accounting job curricula and studying the needs of the employment.
6-Preparing and publishing the authority work guidance.
7-Keeping all the organization documents such as the organizing curricula and instructions for the authorities and the units at the University.
8-Preparing the periodical reports which belong to the organizing situation.
Job arrangement and the man power planning department which performs the following specializations:
- 1-Preparing the system of job arrangement on the basis of its duties, responsibilities and qualifications.
2- Supervising the procedures of executing the system of job arrangement.
3- Pursuing the preparation and the evaluation of the jobs at the unities.
4- Doing registers for the job budgets and matching them with worker affairs and the budget administrations.
5- Participating in preparing the budget project.
6- Preparing recommendations for the development of the organization and the rules of rewards.
7- Supposing what should be specialized for the jobs regarding the numbers and the category.
8- Accounting and registering the workers and keeping their data.
9- Accounting the workers at the university, their numbers and levels, and assigning the university need of the employment.
Training department and it performs the following specializations and responsibilities.
1- Assigning and classifying the training needs for the workers.
2- Studying and analyzing the worker efficiency reports to acknowledge their training needs.
3- Connecting with the different training authorities internally and externally and exchanging the experiences, researches, Statics and studies.
4- Reporting the training programs and spreading the training awareness through the seminars.
5- Making a plan for distributing the training rewards with taking care of the justice and opportunities equality between the workers.
Pursuing the trainees’ works through getting a copy from their managers’ report about the benefit which they got from the training.
7- Executing the training programs which the university holds and pursuing the evaluation of the training programs.

The youth care office is considered as one of the offices which comprises specialists and professionals in working with the university youth, as they have the ability to deal with the university youth and also they can develop their abilities
Worthy mentioning is that office got the first position at the level of all authorities at Sohag University

Solving the problems which face the students and prevent them from complete their study

To get a subsidy from the social solidarity fund the student should follow these steps:
1-Getting a social research application
2-Filling the application
3- Presenting the application to the youth care office
4-If his papers prove that he is really in need of this aid the faculty will give it to him
Training and development
The employee at the youth care office got training courses to develop their abilities in human development, administrative sciences, computer and communication skills

The flower exhibition at faculty of agriculture
Prof Dr Safa Mahmoud Essayed, the head of the university and the deans of the faculties opened the flower exhibition which faculty of agriculture established.
The field visits
The visit of the oil hydrogenation company
In the frame of cooperation protocol between faculty of science and oil Hydrogenation Company, a committee was established and it comprised Prof Dr Ahmed Aziz, the deputy of the faculty for society service, Prof Dr Ahmed Mahmoud Essayed, a prof chemistry department, Mr.Wael Hafez Mahmoud, an assistant lecturer at chemistry department And Dr Lobna Abe el-Mohsen Abeed, an assistant Prof at Chemistry department. The members of the committee visited the factory and met the manager of the factory and the mangers of the other sectors. Worthy mentioning is that during the visit many problems were discussed such as the problem of the water Sedimentation in the boilers.
The visit of Pepsi factory:
A team from faculty of science visited the Pepsi factory. The most important result of this visit was that a study about the problems of the sanitary drainage will be conducted.
The visit of the apiaries
Visiting some apiaries and presenting some technical reports about the bees condition Assigning the infection of the tomato by the viral disease, is it from the nursery or from the lasting farm Guiding convoys to gratify the production of the wheel crop
The environmental week
The first environmental week:
The environment development and society service sector organized an environmental week to keep the people aware about the environmental issues. This week also comprised many activities such as: Awareness lectures, blood donation campaign, cleanliness campaign and a first aids training
