Genetic Department OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Department of Genetics are to:
• Teach and learn the principals of genetics and the recent developments in genetic engineering for undergraduates and postgraduates.
• Exist opportunities for training in both laboratory and field practices important to modern genetics research.
• Conduct many researches in agricultural biotechnology and genetic engineering to develop improved plant cultivars from agronomic and horticultural species for adaptation to climate change and environmental stresses.
• develop the improved varieties and germplasm through a combination of conventional plant breeding and modern genomic-assisted approaches.
• Enhance genetic research of micro-organisms for nitrogen fixation and environmental pollution in local region.
• Participate in enhancing the quality and productivity of plants and animals sectors in around community and environment.
