The  history of the faculty

  The Faculty of Education was established in 1971 as a branch of Assuit university, Then it had its independence  in 1973 and became one of South university colleges . The Faculty of Education provides a range of teaching and postgraduate training programs and community services. It comprises six essential departments : Fundamentals of Education, Comparative Education, Mental Health, Educational Psychology, Curricula and Teaching methods ,the faculty granted Bachelor and License degrees in ten specializations.

The faculty of Education , Sohag university , also offers master's and Ph.D. in various disciplines of education sciences.  

The Faculty of Education is also organizing training courses, seminars, and lectures aimed at raising the skill, ability and proficiency level of technical staff of the faculty.. Many departments were established in the college in addition to the establishment of the Basic Education and Child Education sections .
