The discussion of a master degree under the title (The strategies of criticism and the methods of replying it in the discussions of the Egyptian academic messages as a type of the academic speech)

 A master thesis presented from the researcher Shimaa Ahmed Mahmoud Mohamed, a demonstrator at English department faculty of arts ,will be discussed next Monday dated 6/2/2012 under the title" The strategies of criticism and the methods of replying it in the discussions of the Egyptian academic messages as a type of the academic speech".

This thesis was under the supervision of Professor Doctor Ahmed Sookarno Abd el-Hafez, the dean of faculty of arts at south valley university, and Doctor Bahaa eldeen Abu el-Hassan, a lecturer of linguistics at English department.

The discussing and the judging committee consists of:

Classifying the programs and the educational curricula and programs of the first semester of 2011/2012

 In the frame of executing the activities of the continuous development and qualifying for the approval at faculty of arts, the unity of quality assurance intends to present the required technical support for the academic programs (19academic programs) and the scientific programs, aiming at classifying the programs and the educational curricula and programs of the first semester of 2011/2012.

All of this under the referential academic criteria which every department adapts either it is NARS or ARS.

And in order to make the classification of the curricula and the programs reach the limit which the national authority of approval and education quality assurance requires, a team work has been formed under the presidency of Professor Doctor Ahmed el-Ansary,the manger of quality assurance unity, for presenting the technical support for all the scientific departments which are close to each other in their specializations, and this in alternation with all the departments of the faculty and its academic programs.

 All the students of faculty of arts should go to the computer laboratory at the basement of the faculty, to register their names in the new courses of ICDL which will start in the mid –year vacation, noting that the training will be according to the precedence of the booking.

The council of the Islamic monuments department approved on the participations of Professor Doctor/Faheem Fathy Ibrahim in the third international conference at Ein-Shams University under the title" The old civilizations-the influence and being influenced", and this will be from26/32012 to 28/3/2012, and the participation of Doctor /Bahaa eldeen Abu el-Hassn Hassn, a lecturer at English department, in the translation workshop which the American University will held from 13/2/2010 to15/2 /2012.  

The elective awareness of the elections and how to choose the suitable nominee

Media department at faculty of arts hosted Mr. Mohamed Fahmy,the head of Badr El-Tawael association which is one of the organizations of the  civil society, in a seminar

Dated 10/12/2011 under the title the elective awareness and this was with the attendance of Professor Sahr Wahby, the head of media department; number of the staff and the students of media department.

The seminar aimed at keeping the students and the staff aware of how could they elect correctly, how to chose the suitable nominee and how to access the electorate through modern sites .Mr Mohamed Fahmy asserted on the importance of participation in the elections and the role of the youth in the political awareness also professor Sahr Wahby asserted on the importance of the role of the university student in changing and forming the reality and moving forward.                            

A discussion of a dissertation at Arabic department at faculty of arts

A dissertation which is presented from the researcher Aza Abd El-Minim Mahmoud Alam has been discussed dated 10/12/2011 under the title (the accuracy of the formula in the verses of Israel sons and its influence in the textual cohesion).

The aim of this dissertation was displaying the role of the verbal cohesion and coherence between different parts of the textual sentence and displaying the parts of the coherence between the verbal and semantic text by applying this on the verses of Israel sons in the holly quran.

She also said that there are seven criteria upon which the text is based, if present, the text becomes complete such as the accuracy of formula.

The thesis aims at knowing how to form the character in Abdo Gobear's novel, displaying points of strength and weakens points of positive and negative, how the person becomes a hero and how the character can be built and can be completed

A Seminar at faculty of arts for encouraging the political participation

Faulty of arts hosted doctor Mohamed Abo El-Ghar, one of the founders of 9 mars movement for the independence of the universities and the previous minister for social affairs and insurances Mervet El-Telaoy in a seminar which aims at encouraging the political participation.

 The importance of the political participation of the students in the current elections was discussed in the seminar.

 This was with the attendance of Professor Mahmoud El-Khadrgy the deputy of the faculty for the students' affairs, Professor Hamdy Ahmed Ibrahim El-Deep, the previous dean of faculty of arts and professor Mohamed Abd El-Tawab Farahat, lecturer at faculty of arts Hebrew department, who presented the seminar.

the Supreme Council of Universities received a message from Mr.   Ambassador / Coordinator of the Nile basin countries and Nile waters affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which assures that our embassy in Bujumbura / Burundi referred to the meeting that was held between  Mr. Ambassador and the  General manager of the African and Asian affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Burundi in which  they discussed ways of boosting student relations between Egypt and Burundi that include  the Egyptian side commitment to establish a cultural center in Burundi to teach the Arabic language.

The Arab Organization for Administrative Development under the patronage of the Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia Mr. / Marquez Mahathir Mohamad and the participation of the Malaysia Commission to fight  corruption, the Malaysian Integrity institution , the Royal Police, the Malaysian Government, University of Iontin and the Tinka Berhad National Foundation held  the Arab Malaysian  Forum entitled  "Building a national integrity system to fight corruption "during the period July 12 to 15 July (2011) in the Malaysian government  famous building " Petrojaya "in the capital Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

The secretariat of the Supreme Council of Universities received the message of  the Secretary-General of the Egyptian National Committee of Education, Science and Culture in terms of  the announcement of the award of  "Innovation and technical invention  of the young scholars at the Arab world" and which points to  conducting  a competition to support the Arab scientific innovations of  the Arab young researchers, in order to encourage them and to help them in turning their innovations and inventions to productive and economic projects in the field of energy and the environment.

 Nomination  requirements :
• The candidate should have an Arab nationality.
• The candidate's research or innovation must be conducted or created  in an Arab country.
• The candidate's age must not be more than  (45) years .
• to be nominated in a written form by (at least) one professor  in a university or scientific institution in an Arab country.
• The nomination message must include   an application letter justifying the nomination, and the CV of each of the professor and the candidate, the most important scientific works undertaken by the candidate.
• The candidate fill out the nomination form signed from the university or scientific institution in which the professor works
• Any additions or modifications to any document after its arrival to the organization are not accepted.
• The documents and collections of scientific production should be sent written on paper or on a disk 

•It Is not permissible for former prize winners to apply to the competition again.
